about

Mart-Marie Schoeman

I’m Mart-Marie Schoeman — a South African with a deep love for exploration, creativity, and connection.

Whether I’m rooted at home or moving between continents, I carry with me the stories, questions, and lived experiences that continue to shape my work, my faith, and my sense of calling.

DreamBeyond is the creative home where these threads meet — a place where story, conversation, film, writing, education, and spiritual exploration live side by side.

DreamBeyond

DreamBeyond isn’t just a brand.

It’s a reflection of the many expressions that fuel my spirit and ignite my imagination.

Rather than existing as a single project, DreamBeyond holds the fullness of my work — creative, relational, educational, and spiritual — under one shared voice and posture.

It is a space where ideas are explored, stories are told, conversations are held, children are supported, and faith is lived out in grounded, practical ways.

Entrepreneurship — Red Ripple Communications

Red Ripple Logo

In 2024, I launched Red Ripple Communications, bringing together over three decades of experience across music, publishing, film, and creative leadership.

Red Ripple was created to walk alongside new and emerging start-ups worldwide — helping them establish their brand, find their voice, build their audience, and grow with clarity and purpose.

At its heart, this work is about partnership, sustainability, and creating ripple effects that extend beyond business into meaningful impact.

Film & Story Telling

Storytelling has always been at the centre of my life.

With more than a decade of experience in film and television production, I’ve worked across a wide range of projects that shaped both my craft and my voice. From production management to writing and development, film became a place where leadership, imagination, and narrative intersected.

Today, storytelling continues as a core thread — whether through film, writing, or conversation — always with the intention to invite reflection and deeper seeing.

Education & Child Development — Edubuddies

A significant and deeply meaningful part of my life right now is Edubuddies.

Edubuddies reflects my heart for children, learning, and early brain development — especially for those who struggle quietly. Through educational reading boxes and practical resources, Edubuddies supports children in building foundational literacy, confidence, and a love for learning in ways that feel safe, encouraging, and accessible.

This work brings together creativity, neuroscience, and compassion — meeting children where they are and helping parents feel empowered rather than overwhelmed. It is one of the most tangible expressions of my desire to nurture growth at the earliest and most formative stages of life.

Ministry & Conversation

For me, ministry has never been confined to buildings, titles, or platforms.

It has always been about presence, honest conversation, and the courage to explore faith beyond familiar frameworks. Through spaces like Coffee Conversations, devotional work, and thoughtful engagement with Scripture and lived experience, I remain committed to creating room for spiritual depth that is both gentle and grounded.

Work Biography

My professional journey unfolds as a tapestry woven with creativity, leadership, and a deep commitment to excellence.

In the early 2000s, I began my career in music and publishing, holding roles at Maranatha Record Company, Merchant Music, and CopyCare Africa. These formative years laid the foundation for my entrepreneurial spirit and love for creative industries.

In 2010, my path led me to Cape Town, where I founded NewTunes Publishing, further deepening my involvement in music and storytelling.

A pivotal turning point came in 2012 with my entry into the South African film and television industry. Serving as Production Manager for the acclaimed Afrikaans film Klein Karoo marked the beginning of an expansive chapter that included work on productions such as Vallei van Sluiers, Die Boekklub, and numerous other films and series.

Alongside production work, I explored writing for television, earning my first writing credit on the reality programme Noah’s Ark for Sky TV. This journey expanded through DreamBeyond Productions, where I developed narrative projects including Unveiled Essence and Mrs Potts’ Thanksgiving.

My literary work continues to grow. Titles such as Ek wil ’n CD opneem, wat nou? and When Music is Your Business reflect my experience within the creative industries. In 2020, my debut novel, For the Love of Pear,l was released, followed by Romans 8: Walk in Fullness — A 21-Day Devotional in November 2024.

Looking ahead, my forthcoming book, Dare to Be Still, explores stillness, meditation, rest, and journaling from a Biblical perspective.

In 2024, I also launched Red Ripple Communications, integrating decades of experience to support start-ups in building strong, sustainable brand identities.

Today, I divide my time between South Africa and the United States, continuing to work across creativity, education, spirituality, and storytelling.

testimonial

Mart-Marie loves God and has a calling on her life to empower creative people. She's a worshipper, a serious thinker (understands philosophy), a writer (novels, poetry, prophetic material) and an intercessor. She's got a professional background in the South African film, TV, and music industries. She is still well connected to these industries, as well as a prophetic environment, and she has a network of believers in every aspect of the creative industry.
